One could say that I enjoy comedy.
One would be very accurate in saying such a thing either to my face or behind my back. I’d be completely okay with that.
Earlier this week I schlepped my way across town to the Warner Bros. studio to watch a taping of the new NBC show, Undateable. Let’s just say that I walked in with a half-chub and left with a full, raging laugh boner that could be seen from outer space. It basically cast a moon shadow over the WB water tower. I was obviously very entertained.
The cast is comprised of some of my favorite stand-up comedians: Chris D’Elia, Brent Morin, Ron Funches, and Rick Glassman. The writers are equally as brilliant. The improv takes were incredible.
I got a good number of embarrassed elbow jabs to the side for how loudly I was laughing…and snorting. I couldn’t help myself. When a lady is entertained, a lady is entertained, y’know?
Since I’m an avid handshaker, I intended on making my way “to the rail” after they wrapped to do just that. Unfortunately, mostly for the male comedians, they were quickly bombarded by flocks of 18 year old dudes. That was not something I was about to wade through. Mainly because I didn’t want them to feel bad about themselves when my impressive laugh boner grazed their high school-aged shoulders.
Can someone please tell me why EVERYONE IS SO FUCKING SHORT IN LOS ANGELES?!
Instead I came home on a creative high. When you dabble in the craft of humorous graphic design and then find yourself exceptionally impressed by a similar talent, you end up making shit like this:
Watch every episode now on NBC.com.
I made character graphics too if you’re into that sort of thing:
