Darren Aronofsky, the director of three of my most favorite-of-all-time-visually-captivating films, Pi, Requiem for a Dream, and Black Swan, just released the trailer for his latest masterpiece, NOAH (currently in post and set to grace our beloved silver screens in 2014) and I’m already very, very impressed.
For those unfamiliar, here is a brief synopsis of the film:
“After visions of an apocalyptic deluge, Noah, the world’s only righteous man, is chosen to undertake a divine mission to build a massive ark to save his family and all of creation before the impending rains fall and the flood waters rise.”
I dare you, regardless of your familiarity with the biblical story of Noah, to watch this trailer and not be so compelled by the cinematic beauty before you to widen your eyes or slacken your jaw*.
