Being a major supporter of the independent film industry, I was immediately drawn to the peculiarity that emanated from HairBrained when it came through my inbox.
A story we’ve all heard, or think we have, about the underdog, sure but there was something slightly different about this one in particular.
Is it the quirky physical appearance of the lead character, Eli (Alex Wolff)?
Is it his incomprehensible level of sheer brainpower?
Is it because Brendan Fraser is in it as a 41-year old, college freshman?
Is it because Parker Posey is less Darla Marks and more overtaxed, mother who I can totally relate to? (And yes that means both characters…)
Whatever the element is that has inexplicably drawn me to the film, I’m excited to hear what it is that magnetizes you to the story.
The film is out today, Friday, February 28th and you can find all the details about where to get your hands on it HERE.
Also? You’re not going to want to miss my Jesskel & Ebert review of this one…
Spoiler Alert: IT’S GOING TO BE FUCKING COOL!
