We need to have a talk about cutting corners.
I know we live in a culture that gets real jazzed about the idea of a hack, but I wonder if hacks are all they’re cracked up to be…
How can I possibly do something that typically takes one step, but add about 15 extras in an effort to take a “shortcut”. We do those fifteen extra things and then we end up doing it the normal way after all is said and done.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m the queen of finding another way to achieve something if it actually saves me time, effort or energy. Apparently that was not the case with these two instances. At least now I have coined a phrase that incites phenomenal confusion faces. The conversation that follows to figure out what in the world I’m talking about is pretty great though.
