Now that we’re living in a brand new state, I thought that the best way to meet some local ladies would be to host a fun girl’s night in with lots of yummy food and drinks and good ole, get-to-know-you girl talk.

Next thing I know, I’ve got two whole replies from my weird, quirky and overly enthusiastic online Fredslist ad for new pals.

The Best Girl's Night In Ever

I immediately knew that a fun adventure was in store when Sissy, a total party lover, let me know that she’s on a strict, self-inflicted diet of dark chocolate and wine.

I had a little more to work with when Eunice, an empty-nester with lots of cats, reached out to let me know that if it’s “cute, miniature, and can be eaten without utensils” she’d be set. (She got rid of her flatware years ago because, how challenging would it be for her to teach her cats to hold forks?)

I told the gals it would be totally casual attire. We’d just be sitting around on the couch, enjoying some grub and spilling on our latest personal adventures.

Sissy came done up for who knows what.

Eunice was classy yet comfortable.

The Best Girl's Night In Ever

I gathered enough info from my party guests to know that I was about to score major brownie points by slipping into my yoga pants and t-shirt with a giant cat face on it.

We had a blast noshing on fried calamari, spinach and artichoke purses, dark chocolate with nougat, wine, and Italian soda. I mainly got down on my girl’s night favorite: chocolate dipped cream puffs. Like a boss.

I don’t think that I will ever get together with Eunice and Sissy again, but I do know that they’ll hit up Fresh & Easy for their other girlfriends from now on. I call that a successful girl’s night in.

And what’s even better is that you can host your very own Girl’s Night In AND save some dough while you’re at it if you print this $5 of $20 coupon valid through June 9. What can I say. I’m a money-savin’ giver.

Damn, You Fine! Print: I was selected for this opportunity as a member of Clever Girls Collective and the content and opinions expressed here are all my own.
